I hope to do something that has to do with animation, most likely the concept art behind it. im still in high school and was wondering what the best courses would be. ive taken almost every visual art course my school offers and im just beginning a tech course. i still have a year to go and 6 more credits to complete but im not sure what my best choices would be. what do you think i should take to be accepted into any art school?
There is no class that will teach you everything you need to know. If you can get some fundamentals, anatomy, and color theory down you’ll be off to a good start. Good luck, send me your work and I’ll give you and honest critique!

It was hard. And I relied too much on the system. I went to art school. If you want to learn 3d animation download 3ds Max or Maya and start teaching yourself. As far as the interface goes, there’s nothing I learned in school that I couldn’t find on google.

Oh, school questions! Fun fun. So you said that you have a degree in 3D animation, right? I really want to be a 2D animator when I'm older and actually hope to work for Disney (hee) I am aware that the chances of this are 0.0005 or something so I've been wondering if looking into 3D animation as a 'fall back' I suppose you could call. Yes money would be a huge issue, but all that aside. What is your experience? And like were you an A student it High School (totally paranoid with grades)
If you are a competent animator you’ll successfully be able to apply the fundamentals across multiple applications whether it be traditional methods, digital, 3d or otherwise. I graduated high school with honors. Yay!
